How Come I Cannot Add A Payment Card To My Mcdonalds App

McDonalds App - Is there anyone else who is not able to add credit card in the mcdonalds app?

I tried to change my card in the app today but I was unable to add my new card details in the app. Called McDonalds but they don't know anything about the app and had a horrible experience with them.

Had this issue recently and reached out to Mcdonalds. They informed me to wait 2 weeks until it gets unlocked and reattempt....which worked. Key is not to attempt it during that time frame. Good luck

Maybe they don't want new people getting their card stolen.

Nope. That's why I'm on the internet arguing with strangers. If I had anything better to do I'd probably be doing it.

Sorry for this late response but did u ever figure it out?

I had my Koho card in there always worked great. But all of a sudden it now won't let me update my card after it expired or add another one.

Have the same issue after my credit card expiration date update.
I write all information correct, postal code and others, but still getting error:
"An error occurred attempting to save your card. Please try again later"
Tried all credit cards I have, but no success.
Anyone who knows how to solve problem?

You have to create a new account.
I had this happen when I used it for the $1.00 coffee re-order trick. Seems to be their only way to block that bug.

Happens to me too. Have tried making new accounts, same problem.

Same issue. Even with the card on file the order will go thru but when I get to McDs and hit I'm here, I get an error.

Time to get rid of the app

I've had countless problems with the mcdonalds app too. I have no idea how they can make a decision to launch an app this broken and still not have it fixed over a year later.

Had trouble adding my card to begin with, -- after a few months by sheer luck added my card, Made orders to mcdonalds but the locations haven't received them, arriving at a location, the GPS showing at the location but the app not recognizing it (this has button better, and their "i'm already here" flow is better now, and of course all the reports of fraudulent transactions too... luckily those are covered by zero liability clauses from the credit cards.

and now I added a card after the old one expired but it won't ever actually pay through the app. Like @[SWstriker17] said, it keeps giving an error. I figured, ok, maybe it's the card, so I tried adding another card, nope. same problem I had last year, I can't add cards because it keeps giving "can't add your card try again later" I've been trying for a few days. I'm fine for single orders, but sometimes I have multiple orders and it should be so much easier to just take everyone's phone and punch in the same curbside number. Nope, either go through the drive through and hope they allow it, or need to walk inside and sometimes needing to re-order on the screen and punch in the mobile code.

Why can't they just go through google pay / apple pay like every other app. and why are the reinventing the wheel to make this process so complicated, so many other chains don't have any of these problems, use google pay / apple pay, let you pre-order and pick up, without needing to be at the actual location, I feel like the quality of this app is what one would expect from a hobbyist who offered to do it for free and took on way more than they could chew.

the individuals/contractors should be retrained (heh, not like anybody takes responsibility for their own crappy hires anymore) or fired. cuz they are absolutely overpaid for this crap.

Happy to know it's not just me. Assume you need to pre-pay if you are ordering on the app and want to do curb side pickup? I'd rather not go in at this point...
Tried adding 2 different cards, no luck. Cleared cache and data, no luck. Uninstalled and reinstalled, no luck.

You would think a company that big would have a killer app :-(
